Born in New York’s Hudson Valley, Ken developed a strong appreciation for craftsmanship,
community, and the outdoors. His background in construction management and law
enforcement ultimately led him back to the building industry as a project manager and
superintendent.
Ken and his wife Karen discovered Sanibel Island in 1996 and instantly felt at home. After
years of volunteering with J.N. “Ding” Darling Wildlife Refuge and C.R.O.W., they made Sanibel
their full-time residence in 2016.In his time on Sanibel, Ken befriended a neighbor that founded
Grampy's Charities. He became involved with their goal of helping disabled and disadvantaged
children. Ken is now a board member and serves on committees for the Ronald McDonald
House of SWF. Ken also has been an active member of the Sanibel Kiwanis, since moving here .
With a lifelong respect for land and water, Ken offers a thoughtful, informed approach to helping
others find their place on Sanibel, whether for a seasonal escape or a permanent home.
